Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 History
1972-1976 | 525 Built | The Flagship Ferrari 365 Grand Tourer

The Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 was the car Ferrari built for the long haul. Introduced in 1972 to replace both the 365 GT 2+2 and the 365 GTC/4, it consolidated Ferrari’s grand touring mission under a single model with a sharper exterior, a longer wheelbase, and the same Colombo V12 architecture that defined the 365 series from the beginning.
Five hundred and twenty-five examples were built across a four-year production run, with serial numbers running from SN15897 through SN19709. Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina, the GT4 2+2 introduced a clean three-box silhouette that would anchor the Ferrari grand touring line through the 400 and 412 series into 1989. It was the foundation of Ferrari’s longest-running production series. That is not a footnote. It is the measure of how well Fioravanti and the engineering team got it right.
